THE F FACTOR IN FRIEND( FAITH)

   Well for this blog entry, I want to talk about friend. A person can have lots of friend in life and in that big amount of friend there will be the true genuine friend. This type of friend will be those that we wish to be around with or stick around with. This friend may be a big influence in our every decision we make in life about life.
   For me, I feel that for decision that will dictate our life forever, we should be more selfish and make certain decision base on our own future for our own good. We could not make decision just because we want to stay around good company and feel comfortable, feel love, feel wanted. We may enjoy this in the short but in the future when we think back and felt we can have better life if the decision is made otherwise, we may regret and what are friend at that time? Will they remain as your true friend in your heart or you will blame them for the things you never have or never done?
   A true friend will always be true friend no matter what separate them or how far they are separated. You may make a decision for yourself that will require you to leave them now. I believe some where down the road in life, faith will bring friend back together at a certain point. To meet a friend out of the amount of people in the world is already an amazing faith, count the probability.
   I think we should make decision base on our future and benefit of oneself. Friend will always be friend and may even support you decision. Friends, we are fated and I believe even  if we are worlds apart now, faith will bring us back in the most unexpected junction, unexpected place, unexpected time and the most unexpected way.

MIX IT

   Turbo, the movie about a snail that fell into the nitros tank and got his DNA rearrange and became a speed monster. Turbo can go as fast as a F1 super car and participated in the championship and won the tournament. how amazing it is to have a movie for a snail to have speed.
   I felt this is a creative piece of work as how they could put two element that seldom been related to mix it up and produce a film out of it. Who will think of a boring slow snail and put some speed into it you can get an amazing story.
   What i like about it is how people can take two element that does not really mix and stir it up. We have heard about the rabbit and the tortoise story where the slow can win. If you create a speedy tortoise in the story and out run the rabbit, isn't it a better story, well that is my opinion.
   Lots of great invention come from combining elements that first does not have direct link with each other. Like an amphibian vehicle, a car at the same time a boat, car that swim. A water cutter, where the tension of the water gun is so high till it can cut through metal. This two example show that two things that did not have relationship at first been mix up and became one great invention. An amphibian car cost more that those normal car, a water cutter work efficiently as of a laser cutter that cost more.
   Mixing the element up is not such a bad idea where it is actually a great idea where crazy invention of gadget, movie and etc can result from it.

GREATER THAN GREAT

   Today Dato LCW loss due to injury. That is not the main story, the main story is what people say after that. People start to fire beautiful words around, he could do better, is his nerve playing Lin Dan. Some complain about how Lin Dan is allowed to play although he hasn't play for a year. There also some people that take the outcome positively complimenting both the player.
   For me is very simple, I enjoy the game as the two best in the world go all out for the win. Although it could have ended any other way that injury, but you could not neglect the rally before the injury. It was pure class.
   Then there is the part when Lin Dan came over and help Dato LCW. Again there are funny comment from people, again they can see it as acting. At the same time, there will be people that appreciate what he do. they compliment him on his sportsmanship.
   Well in this world there will always be two side to stuff, somehow I feel like a person that enjoy both side where is not at time I am here and next there but at both side at the same time. To be able to accept both point of view great, but to be able to accept both point of view, interpret it and come out with one hybrid point of view is greater than great.

LIFE CHANGE YOU OR YOU CHANGE LIFE

   Is funny how people watch ghost movie and got scared. How people are afraid of ghost. When you talk about it, people will freak out. People that claim the encounter the afterlife and still are afraid of them. People always say if you are afraid to die you are afraid of ghost.

   What i think is that if you are afraid to die, you should be happy if you know ghost existed. Is like telling you that you would not just die and puff, you are gone forever, your soul, your though, your life and everything of yours just end there.

   If you encounter for yourself the afterlife like ghost, you should not be afraid. You should just ask how is it feel and how you could prepare for it. This will change how a person perspective of life all together. It may be good it may be bad, but one thing I know is people will not be afraid to die.

   Why no one think of this? Why if there are people that did think of this and are still afraid? I feel that this could be a limitation to life where you are afraid and you limit yourself and your ability. You may not try many things in life or you may just live a boring life without any excitement. Well hope that people can give a deep thought to what I propose and see how your life will be and how it will change. Let you change your life and not your life change you.

ME? A GOOD QUESTION.

   Who am I? Do I know myself? Tell me about yourself? This is a good question.
   I am simple to understand for many people, loud, noisy, outgoing, friendly, practically a person that is extremely sociable. But when I am serious, I am like another person, a total 180 degree twist. In work or during my days in the uniform body or even in national service, I am strict and discipline where I hold high ranking because of my performance and high level of discipline. When I am with my friend during school or any other time, I am the loudest and energetic fun to the max person.
   Than which am I, where both is to the extreme of the other side. I know myself, I am both. A person does not just live with one character, it can be more depends on how flexible your mind are. I know when I need to be serious and when I should have fun. This is me. I am not clueless or confuse when I am ask of who I really am, simply because I know who I am.
   What that make me the person I am? I am not born and puff I am just like that. I may look loud, colorful and full of life on the outside, but does anyone know what is inside me, my core. Or does anyone know their own core. Well, I know my own core. I have a black dark core that made me who I am today, but black doesn't mean is all that bad. The dark core is just a memory and experience from before that bring me into a state where everything is not right, but I climbed out from there. The courage and the process of climbing out the dark core make me who I am today. I did not throw it away but I kept it as a reminder. It does not affect me anymore but is important to remind me who I was and who I am.
   Sorry that this Dark core is not for me to share with the public. I am already transparent enough to the world, at least let me keep this little bit of my self unknown, hidden deep in me. A sacred memory of myself to only be share with those special one in my life.

"SHOULD WE" I ASK

   I read three different comic, three of it are all Japanese manga. One piece, Naruto and Bleach. One thing about this three manga is the hero will never die and stay dead. Although the hero was defeated and die at a few occasion, but some how they will be revive and get stronger than before. this happen for the three comic that I read.
   I question myself why can't they just let the hero die and they can come out with another, wouldn't that be more interesting. It may even spice up the story. Try to create a main character that is not the hero, try portraying the main as the weak one. Why not, why can't it be done..?
   One thing I realize after asking around is people say what is there to read if the main character die or the hero die than the story will end. I think that people fix them self to one idea and just stick to it. Like the three comic that i read, the story is basically the same, the idea is the same, the way the character behave is the same. people just don't realize or they only accept comic as one idea that is a hero that never die, fight goes on the hero become stronger and win.
   Even comic from the west like spiderman, superman, batman and etc. all are actually the same concept. Should we start asking why is it the same, should we try accepting a comic of another idea, should we let go of our idea of comic and re approach comic from another angle. This is the question I ask when I read comic.

MAYBE AND JUST MAYBE

   This is the first time I walk into an art gallery. The gallery that feature all the product of one artist that is drawing about his life in Ipoh, Perak. When I first walk in,the first few drawing that I see, I could not figure out what the drawing is about even after i read the caption of the drawing. The following drawing as through till the end, non of the drawing that I am able to understand or feel what the artist want me to see.

   What I feel was while the artist was drawing, he would had forgotten to wear his high power glasses as every thing he draw seem like the view of a person with shortsighted drawing without wearing glasses. The other thing I feel was is this person sad, or very sad, all of his drawing seem so sad and all of it is black and white that does not help me feel any better. I was thinking, is this gallery to portray his sadness, and if it is, why spend so much to show the world your sadness.

   It was free admission and than I start to think again, is it a rich man that just want to buy a space to show people his drawing although is not attractive. Or I am wrong that is just simply I do not understand or acknowledge a good work of art. Then I though of a few masterpieces that is painted by famous artist before my time that prices up to millions of dollar. I also could not understand those art effect. Maybe just maybe that I though to myself that I just don't understand and do not know how to appreciate a good art work.  

THE LAST LEAVE

   This story book The Last Leave is by O.Henry that is publish by Pelangi. This story talks about a sick girl that give up hope on living and decided to die when the last leave fall. But one of her friend painted a leave on the wall where the real leaf are that help her get through her ill time. The friend did the drawing on a stormy night where he himself fall sick and die.
   What i think about this story is how a person can give another person hope is amazing, even if it means to sacrifice yourself. The one that die is an old man where both of them are painter. the old man has wasted his life sitting around and hope that he will get the inspiration for a perfect painting. Sadly it did not happen and he hope that the young girl will not give up so easily and fight on.
   From this story I can feel the need to go the extra mile for someone that you care for. Not only that, we should do what we can while we have the energy and capability. To lay around and wait, hoping for miracle to happen does not come to everyone. Even miracle is sometime in our own hand either we hand it to our self or we give it to another person. Like the story the girl was curious how that the last leave did not fall off the vine on the wall as the wind was so strong and was raining heavily. She thinks that is miracle and she fight hard to live on where the actual fact is the drawing of her friend.
   How a simple children story book that convey such a impactfull value to the reader. Some time small thing that we do not pay much attention on may turn out to be a big surprise. reading this book takes me an hour but it keeps me thinking for a day. Now I understand from this book that miracle can happen, we are the one who make it happen in the most amazing way.

BE A CHILD AT TIME

   Four adults sitting for hours and could not come out with few creative idea. But when sit with a kid for one hour and was amaze by the imagination of him. Imagine, a modernize era with laser gun and all could not compare to a kid that propose a blaster gun which armor is slug. Slug that come with different ability and power, use in different ways and that the slug has its own mine. Imagine shooting slug that is deadly.
   What I think is that grown up like me is creative but at the same time we set our own barrier and put our self in a box without knowing it. We try things in a certain pattern in a certain way because we think that that is right and safe. But for a child, they do not have this barrier where they are not experience enough where in this case is good. They will be able to come out with creative idea that never cross our mind as adult.
   Children, they are fearless as they will try anything that they can imagine and that is where you say sky is not even the limit for them. I personally thinks that we as adult should consult children at time to help us break our barrier to a more creative thinking.
   50 or 100 new idea a day, and we as adult will ask can we come out with that much. For a child, he or she will be asking can i come out with more idea. Is not that we are not as creative as a child, but we have too much barrier in our head. We set too many rules for our self to follow. When we think too much is how does our idea fit all the rule that we set and will the world accept our idea, but when children think too much are where they are over flow with new ideas and how to share it all out to the world.

TAKE A TURN AT A FIX PATTERN

   When I brainstorm with friend just simply to create a story, given the start and end of it. Everyone will want to know what will the story base on, or what will make sense, start planning it step by step from A to Z. This I feel is because people want to hold on to a certain things or belief so that they feel safe. Can we say religion is the same as there is a thing there for you to rely on to hold on to so you feel safe.

   Why not take a leap and see what faith brings to you. Start writing a story from the middle, work your way back or forward. Not that no one have try it, even movie, Star Wars, it start showing the ending than only the show the origin of the story. Jump into a story, regardless of where you land, feel the moment and than only work your way around to find out how it start or end. Try open a book and read the middle pages first than only read the rest of it.

   To follow a certain pattern and live for so long that life is getting boring. Try something different for a change. Walk into a room without knowing what is in there, write a story by placing pieces of story around and only link it afterward. Try not to follow a certain set of pattern to do or work out something, forget bout the step or 1,2,3 and start going in through 5,99,76 . 

   Even the Man of Steel movie is doing something different. Not about the red underwear but the way the movie was. show the present and cut into parts and pieces of the history of superman was he was young. This movie that does not follow from young till he grow up pattern is a hit. Try not to follow a set of pattern and experience the unexpected event that follow.  

IMPRESS THE UN-IMPRESSIONABLE

   Try as hard as you want to impress others, the thing about impressing another person is not how good you are or how well you prepare. The bottom line to impress others is still down to how the other person think and look at you. We always think we can impress other people and set a good image for our self, but the truth is we can't really do it as we our self will complain and talk about those people that try hard to impress us or people around us. You yourself judge others and you think others would not judge you and accept what you tell them. 

   You may hear people give advice like be yourself, do not try too hard to impress or it will back fire or be natural. If you ask me for advice, well I will answer you go and amaze them. Maybe I will enjoy the after show and see how bad it gets or you may come and thank me for a great advice. When you go out and meet people, if they choose to accept you and done you have won them over even before you do your things, but if they have reject you from the start, pull out all your tricks and still it does not work.

   The world is full of drama any way. So why not put on a good show, and see what the outcome may turn out to be. What is life if you do not take chances, what is life if you do not have fun, what is life if every thing is pre-set. Just try and be surprise. If what you do turn out bad and did not impress the others, you can laugh it away like a joke, but if it does work out and people are impress, take it as a great glory victory, celebrate and be proud.

DARE TO BE DIFFERENT

   The movie Fast Furious 6 as expected is another hit. But at the end of the movie, they have the preview of the next movie with Jason Statham as the villain. This is something that is not expected where Jason is always the hero in the movie that he act in, people start to comment bout the movie saying they could not accept it. Why not, why can't Jason be a villain for once. What if he is good acting as a villain, it may even spice up the movie and take it to a greater height.
   Comment I heard are like, people saying they cannot accept Jason as villain, how uneasy they feel about it. this is just merely because you yourself limit your own thought and believe. You get use to something that way, you dare not try or accept any changes or follow other path.
   When you have try using one way to get to a place, you will tense to follow the same way all the time. If you dare to try a different route, you may find a shorter way, a faster way or a more interesting way to your destination. You may not know till you try, you need to accept and try other alternative.
   I feel, this is not just a simple task of try a new thing, but is whether you dare to be different or not. Think more creatively, do not just live in a dull world. Try and experience the world with limitless imagination. Try to look at the same thing you have been looking at for the past 10 or 20 years differently. Look closer, look further, look at it from a different angle, flush out the old memory of it and review it again with a different prospective and see what greatness follow after that.

A GOOD LESSON TO SELF

   I failed a subject last semester. I felt sad, who doesn't. When I told my friends, there are all sort of feedback. Most of them will ask me to submit for appeal against the result. But I have a thought in my mind, why did I fail? Is a big question mark in my head. I went and consult my lecturer and he told me that I am not prepared for the final, and I am not the only person fail but a high percentage of people did fail.
   I meet up with a few people and most people will put the blame on others on how they fail. I got answer like he is too strict with the marking, there are no tips, question too hard and it goes on. I have a though again, what if we did prepare well, study hard and smart, read up more and get yourself into it, no matter what question we will find the answer to it and we may not fail or even score an A+. I am retaking this paper and intent to do better.
   When something bad happen to us, we will blame it on the whole world. We can even convince our self that is never our fault and we are not to blame. My thought is, why don't we take a deep breath and sit back, calm our self down. Think deeply, if we can do better, if we have been more prepare, if we are ready, will the unfortunate event happen on us.
   I know we can not be prepare for everything that is coming at us, but we can always prepare our self so that we would not fall down that hard. We should not blame it on others when things happen, we just need to remind our self that we need to do better next time.

THE MONK I UNDERSTAND

I have this friend that know his destiny and faith when he was 16 years old. at that age where most of us did not even start to plan or think what we want to do the next day, he already know his future. He told me that he had found a place in Buddhism, and his destiny is to be a monk dedicate his life to the teaching of Buddha. At that age i though he was kidding, but this year one month from now, he is going off to be monk.
    He is the school top student, study under scholarship, graduated a year back with first class degree and work in Singapore for half a year. he stop his work two month back use the money he earn bought air ticket and say his goodbye to everyone.
   I do feel sad with the feeling of losing a friend, but as a friend i feel the need to support his decision and cherish the memory that we share and have together. Many people ask me, why he want to be a monk, what happen to him. People also have the wrong impression that when a person become a monk, they probably fail in life or want to escape from some tragedy that happen in their life. But this is not why he do it, he found the inner peace and connection with Buddhism. To be a monk is not to escape anything or just simply because you fail in life. To be a monk, you need to have the mind set where you will dedicate your life to understand the Buddha teaching, learn about the way of life and hope that at the end of the day, you gain the enlightenment through Buddhism.
   He may be a bright student, with bright future. Many can argue that he should walk a different path. But a person life should be walk as how that person want it to be, not because your friend think or your parents say so. Walk the path that you yourself choose and with passion you will succeed in life. His parent does not agree at first but have to accept it.
   To see the strong determination he has in him, I know that there are no reason for me to back down from any criticism and obstacle that is place in front of me. With great determination and will power, I trust I too can achieve the greatness that is written for me in the future.
